WHAT IS METABOLIC CONDITIONING

Metabolic Conditioning (Met Con) is a high-intensity training method designed to maximize calorie burn, boost metabolism, and improve overall athletic performance. This method blends strength and cardio exercises in structured intervals, optimizing your body’s energy use. By engaging multiple energy systems, Met Con workouts enhance endurance, boost muscle power, and speed up recovery. By incorporating moderate-intensity to high-intensity interval sessions, your body can burn calories more efficiently.

MET CON FITNESS CLASS

At SVAC, our Met Con classes are held on the Turf & Track area of the gym. This provides the perfect environment for you to push yourself, improve your fitness, and see results—all while having fun with an energetic community!

SVAC Turf & Track

This class incorporates a variety of exercise patterns designed to challenge your body to its fullest potential. In just 45 minutes, you’ll maximize your effort and results. Beginning with a mobility warm-up, each session may feature a mix of the following:

AMRAP’s:  As Many Repetitions As Possible (in a set time and set exercises)

WOD: Workout Of the Day

EMOM: Every Minute On the Minute

Circuits: Timed Rotating Exercises

Finisher:  Short Burst Exercise at the end of class designed to challenge you

You can expect to complete upper body, lower body, full body and cardio workouts throughout this class. With Met Con, you’ll not only get a powerful workout but also enjoy long-term fitness and health benefits.
