101 Pilates Reformer

Beginners can take more than one 101 if they would like, suitable up to 10 sessions. Welcome to Reformer Pilates at SVAC! Our special introductory classes are designed to ensure your success in our all-level drop-in Reformer sessions. We begin with an equipment orientation focused on safety, then move on to breathing, movement, and body awareness. Modifications, and Progressions will be offered as needed to meet individual movement requirements. To fully benefit from your Reformer Pilates experience at SVAC, we encourage you and require you to attend one or more 101 classes before joining our regular Reformer sessions.

Pilates Restorative Reformer
Take time to undo the tension and muscle soreness from your workouts by stretching under tension on the Pilates Reformer and by using myofascial release techniques via tune up balls, and floor work. Fascial Maneuvers
Take the power back and heal your mind and body. Fascia is a thin casing of connective tissue that surrounds and holds every organ, blood vessel, bone, nerve fiber and muscle in place. It is so intelligent that it also holds emotions and trauma that we have experienced over a lifetime. Fascial maneuvers are a way to start unwinding and releasing these held emotions and trauma that are creating dis(ease) in the body. Come stretch and open your mind today.

Gentle Yoga
Enroll in a class crafted for relaxation and rejuvenation. Start with a simple meditation to establish our practice’s intention, then move into a slow, gentle flow that alleviates tension, stress, and muscle stiffness, including basic balance poses. Enjoy the benefits of stress relief and relaxation, as well as enhanced flexibility and deeper breathing. This class welcomes practitioners of all skill levels. HIIT Flow (warm or hot)

Hot Blissology Series
The Yoga Bliss Series focuses on achieving Samadhi, a state of bliss and liberation through the practices of Dharana (focused attention) and Dhyana (effortless meditation). This supports the union between the individual true self (Atman) and the universal absolute (Brahman). The series emphasizes finding bliss in the moments between thoughts, creating a sense of lightness, relief, contentment, freedom, acceptance, and awareness. It places emphasis on cultivating awareness, regulating emotions, and achieving different states of being through yoga practice. This includes mindfulness to unite the mind and body, tolerating discomfort, enhancing emotional regulation, and establishing new patterns of behavior beyond the mat.
Throughout the week the series is looking to move through poses and postures that move energy through all the chakras. allowing us to be more balanced and blissful.
Mondays: A powerful flow that focuses on being grounded into embodied reality, physically strong and secure. We focus on letting go and setting intentions for the week. Asanas such as warrior stances, hip-openers, chair pose, deep lunges, and squats. Root (Muladhara) and Pelvic Chakra (Svadishthana)
Tuesdays: A power flow that is core focused. Core is the element of fire and individual power and purpose. Think of manipura as your body’s energy powerhouse, as it holds a vast amount of our physical vitality. When consciousness moves freely in this center, we are empowered by the energy of transformation! Navel Chakra (Manipura)
Wednesdays: A power flow that will move Raja energy throughout the entire body. Some weeks there may be more focus on certain poses or chakras.
Thursdays: A flow that focuses on opening or balancing the heart and the throat. Opening us up to be conduits for love and letting us tap into our authenticity. Heart Chakra (Anahata) and Throat Chakra (Vishuddhi)
Fridays: Yang / yin. We will warm up with a flow and then move into yin where we settle in and hold postures for longer durations. Third eye (Ajna) and Crown chakras (Sahasrara)

Hot Body Flow
Center yourself and engage in powerful, meaningful exercises with a 45-minute session in a HOT environment. Body Flow offers a dynamic class ideal for those seeking a comprehensive body workout that tones, stretches, and enhances balance. It combines vigorous movements to activate your muscles, such as bodyweight exercises, along with stretching poses to fortify and relax your body. This class provides a complete experience with Burn, Stretch, and Mindfulness.

Candlelight Restorative Yoga HOT
Join your certified Yogi in this class for a slow and nourishing practice which allows you to completely relax while holding poses from 5 to 10 minutes at a time with the support of props such as blocks and straps. This fosters a deep connection with your mind and body. 60 minutes allows for a great practice for everyone looking to de-stress and calm down the mind and nervous system.

Hot Happy Hips
Allow the warmth and straightforward yet deliberate movements to foster engagement and delightful mobility in your hip joints. Our aim is for Yoga to alleviate tension and generate space in the core of our bodies where it’s most needed. Our certified, connected, and skilled Yoga instructors will lead participants of all fitness levels and flexibility through these movements and poses.

Hot Happy Hour
Yoga is about exploring your capabilities of mind and body. When you add in Happy hour it asks you to invite in play. Fitness is fun at SVAC and we want you to have a class that you can explore balance, inversions and connection to your body. Be prepared to challenge your comfort zone and move into the un-comfort zone to explore and grow. This class will welcome you in with mindful connection then warm up with supporting movements of the suggested plan for the class. Your leader will support you and you may be partnered up for added support. The class will end with Shavasana.

Hot Power Yoga
Power Hot yoga is an invigorating and challenging form of yoga that combines the physical and mental benefits of yoga with the intensity of a heated environment. It provides an opportunity to build strength, flexibility, and endurance while fostering mindfulness and breathwork. Be prepared to sweat, work hard, and leave the class with a sense of accomplishment and rejuvenation. We begin each class with breathwork and end with meditation. Take what you need from this class and always know you can do what you can. Modifications provided as well as progressions.

Somatic Transformation
Join Tara and Susanne for 2 hours of restorative yoga, sound therapy, and energy healing. Restorative yoga and sound healing are holistic practices that aim to promote relaxation, balance, and overall well-being by integrating gentle movement, breath awareness, and the therapeutic qualities of sound. Energy healing aims to restore balance, enhance vitality, and support the body’s natural healing abilities. The gentle restorative postures are held from 5-10 min allowing the body to settle into a state of deep relaxation. During each posture Susanne offers one on one energy healing, moving to a different person after each restorative pose. All levels welcome!

Stick Mobility
SVAC is proud to have Canada’s only Level 2 Stick Mobility Leader, Clare Newman and the Fitness Professionals she has trained to lead this class. SVAC prides itself on being able to serve you with this amazing stretching and release program. MOBILITY + STABILITY + STRENGTH Stick Mobility combines joint mobilization, strength training, and deep fascial stretching to increase athletic performance, reduce risk of injury, and speed up recovery.

During this Sound Healing or Yoga Nidra session participants will lie down in a supportive position allowing the sound waves of the singing bowls or the Yogi’s voice to interact with their senses. The experience is often described as deeply meditative, helping calm the mind, release tensions, and promote a sense of inner peace. Yoga Flow (hot or warm)
Vinyasa Flow is breath with movement or better worded, movement breath. It is one of the most popular forms of yoga asana. It is well known for its lack of form. Always slightly changing depending on the teacher, the students, the day or theme. It could be rigorous or slow, hips or shoulders inspired, focused on strength or flexibility, side bend or twist themed. There is a lot of creative possibility in flow classes and variations are endless. This class has something for everyone whatever level you are starting at.

Yoga Tune up Balls
After a week of hard work, treat your body to these restorative postures to prepare for the week ahead. Suitable for all fitness levels, your certified trainer will guide you through fascia release, helping you safely release muscle tension. Cycle Your Way to a Better You

Move it Low
A low-impact workout, ideal for beginners and older adults, features gentle to moderately paced exercises. This class offers a comprehensive workout, covering the entire body within 60 minutes, including an extensive warm-up. A variety of tools are utilized to ensure the fitness session is fun and effective. SVAC’s Certified Fitness Professionals will guide the class, leaving you eager to return.

BOOTCAMP
This full-body workout will have you utilizing your body weight, with the potential addition of equipment. The class is designed to be challenging, leaving you looking forward to the next session to play outside with your Fitness Family.

Sculpt 360
Tone and shape your entire body with our Sculpt 360 class! Engage in a workout that will have you lifting, reaching, and lunging from start to finish. All fitness levels are welcome. The class includes both cardio and strength training with a focus on strength. This class utilizes barbells, dumbbells, BOSU balls, steps, and Bender balls as the primary fitness tools.

TABATA
This training format was developed by Dr. Izumi, who conducted research on enhancing conditioning for Olympic athletes. The regimen consists of 20 seconds of activity followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated eight times for one muscle group before moving on to the next. This creates a 4-minute interval per segment, culminating in a 45-minute session filled with challenging exercises. SVAC boasts top-notch Fitness Professionals and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure you get the most out of each Tabata session. Try to aim to maintain the same intensity for the first of the eight repetitions, setting the stage for transformation.

Zoned In – Get more bang out of your workout experience. This is an all out, heart pumping, muscle moving, dynamic class that utilizes a variety of workout equipment such as top-of-the-line Incline Trainers, Concept 2 Rowing machines, free weights, TRX Suspension Trainer, Bosu Balls, med balls, and more!! The Zoned In class format includes challenging bouts of cardio, endurance and power while utilizing the data driven My Zone technology. Plus, a focused strength training component that is consistent for you with an all-body focus. Your muscles will feel stronger, and you will notice the burn. Whether you are interested in heart rate training, results-based workouts, understanding your workout metrics, or just getting a great workout, Zoned In is a class that delivers! Barre

Chisel’d
Chisel’d is a strength and endurance class that utilizes barbells and dumbbells. Our Certified Instructor guides you through choreographed movements set to music, targeting every area of the body. Each track is devoted to a specific muscle group, intensifying the workout to ensure you feel the burn.
HIGH Fitness
High on fun! High with fitness! Strong, simple, easy-to-follow choreography. Plyometric interval training moves such as: jump squats, burpees, tuck jumps, mixed with slow concentrated full-body toning moves that sculpt you from top to bottom. Hip Hop Grooves 2.5
Join Lukas from 3rd Street Beats in 8 sessions of progressive Choreography that encompasses our SVAC Community’s ability to dance and have fun. You will learn to confidently perform songs as a collective group at the last class of the 8 sessions.
The Details: 8 Week Program (class is once per week – check schedule) $80.00 + GST ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS: To sign up for this course we respectfully ask that you have attended 8 or more Hip-Hop Grooves drop-in sessions in the past 6 months.
Pound
Channel your inner Rockstar with this full body cardio-jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing, and sweat-dripping fun using Rip Sticks. This class features choreographed movement and a dance-party like cardio session. All fitness levels are welcome. After Friday nights class we welcome you to stay for customer appreciation beverages.
ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS: Bring your own Mat or enjoy one of the many that we have to offer.
Step and weights
Get ready to move to the beat of the music and lift some iron. Join this dynamic workout knowing it will put a smile and some sweat on your face. This is a choreography fitness class so feel free to ask the Fitness Professional leading the session as to how to choose the equipment for the day’s session. All fitness levels welcome.
ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS: Don’t forget to bring your water bottle. Try to arrive 5 minutes before class.

SVAC understands your desire to maximize your time with precise and strategic planning for Muscle, Strength, and Cardio Conditioning. We offer a 45-minute class that starts with a mobility warm-up, followed by timed, challenging exercises designed to push your muscles to their limits, aiding in muscle gain and growth towards your goals. Come ready to push your limits while receiving coaching to ensure maximum effort with proper form. All fitness levels welcome.
Met Con
In MetCon (also known as Metabolic Conditioning) you will be lifting at your maximum capacity! Using immediate energy and learning to make those muscles work for you in moderate and high intensity intervals! This class involves a variety of exercise patterns that will be asking your body to give all that it can. Expect to make the most of this 45 min session. Starting with a mobility warm up, the plan may include any of the following:
AMRAP’s – As Many Repetitions As Possible (in a set time and set exercises)
WOD – Workout Of the Day
EMOM – Every Minute On the Minute
Circuits – Timed rotating exercises
Finisher – Short burst exercise at the end of class designed to challenge you
This class uses a variety of equipment and floor space on the turf for the ultimate adult playground that will always leave you wanting more!!

Discover your potential and push beyond your limits by joining your Certified Fitness Professional and the SVAC community to become stronger! The Turf and Queenax Studio at SVAC come equipped with a variety of fitness tools, including barbells, kettlebells, suspension equipment (UFO’s, Revvl Pro, Cross Core, TRX and more), Assault Bikes, Ski Ergs, Sleds for push and pull, Concept 2 Rowers and MORE! Strengthen your muscles, enhance your mobility, and boost your well-being. We welcome all fitness levels, offering progressions and modifications for everyone.

Strong Endurance
We want to see what you are capable of and then challenge you to grow further in your abilities. Join your Certified Fitness Professional and your SVAC community to become Strong! We want to benchmark your current fitness and help you exceed your own expectations as you grow in strength and abilities. The HYROX workout format is to be included which is longer intervals to build muscle and muscle endurance for this epic event. On the new TURF at SVAC we have many fitness tools such as barbells, kettlebells, TRX, Ski erg’s, Rowers, Assault bikes, Sleds, Barbells, medicine balls and more! Strengthen your muscles, train your mobility and feel great!! We welcome all fitness levels, with progressions and modifications available for everyone.
Strong Gold
Super functional training is available for all fitness levels in our QueenAx Studio. Discover how to leverage your body weight with a variety of equipment and our cutting-edge system. Come and experience functional fun with your Certified Fitness Professional. If you seek a secure introduction to our studio and its equipment, you’ve struck Gold! We welcome all fitness levels in this class and cater to those that are new to fitness, getting back into fitness or just seeking to keep as much functional movements in their lives as possible.
TRX Strength
Suspension training provides the perfect resistance to strengthen your body. TRX Certified Instructors assist in building lean muscle, improving mobility, and increasing flexibility. It’s appropriate for all fitness levels, with available modifications and progressions. The TRX foundational movements include Push, Rotate, Squat, Lunge, with a base of Plank, Pull, and Hinge. We also adjust the straps to the optimal length for each movement, so be prepared to utilize them. We cannot wait for you to experience this class with us.
